Lesson #193 – ‘Angel’ practical jokes.

Back at her house, (Azusa) Fuyutsuki can be heard screaming as she cursed (Eikichi) Onizuka for not listening to her to go and undergo the surgery even that she has pleaded to him. She started to remember the time when they first met, and also the time when he hugs her in volume 21 in (Ai) Tokiwa arc. She started to cry, saying that she doesn’t want to lose him, and that she really likes him. She is then shown lying on her bed clutching her pillow sheet, as she exclaimed that she now feels that she has fallen in love with him…

Meanwhile, somewhere else, (Misuzu) Daimon hailed a taxi and as she takes her seats, the driver asked her on where she wants to go. She replied that she wants to go to Kichiyouji Hospital, and asked the driver to be quick. As the taxi moves away, she started to make a phone call and asked a teacher at the school whether the injured ‘Angel’ group members has been taken to the hospital. She tells the teacher not to let the news about the injured students’ leaks to the media and terminates the call.

She keeps her mobile phone back in her handbag, as she started to wonder angrily on why her plan doesn’t go the way she intended. She cursed, thinking that she is so near to take her revenge on (Ryoko) Sakurai, and wondered on where she has done wrong.

In another scene, (Yoshito) Kikuchi is inside the ambulance that takes Tokiwa to the hospital, and he asked Tokiwa who is on life support about what is ‘Angel’ really is and whether she is part of that group. He doesn’t stop there, and fires questions on why (Shiro) Shibuya wants to kill Onizuka and what is the relationship between Daimon and Shibuya/Tokiwa before he is stopped by medical personnel who lashed at him to remind him that Tokiwa’s ribs are broken. Suddenly Tokiwa removed her gas mask and replied to him, saying that the ‘Angel’ group members consist of people who had ‘died’ once.

Kikuchi is stunned after hearing her, as she continued that each group member was bullied, raped or comes from problematic families, but all the group members shared the same fact that all of them are people who had tried to commit suicide in the past. She then reminisced the time when she was saved from her suicide attempt and warded at the hospital, Daimon comes to visit her as a counselor…

[Flashback mode]
Daimon tells the warded Tokiwa that she herself was under the same situation as Tokiwa, who had ‘died’ and went to heaven. Tokiwa is puzzled after hearing her, and Daimon explained to her that she should consider herself of having died once, and goes to heaven. Daimon smiled, and continued saying that since Tokiwa has ‘died’ once, she will not ‘die’ for the second time as she will now become an ‘angel’ who descended from the heavens as a messenger of God onto the cruel world, so that she will be able to ‘correct’ the misguided masses. Daimon then tells Tokiwa that she has to do the God’s bidding, using her smile to punish the school that she truly hated. She assured Tokiwa that she will teach her how to ‘punish’ them all…
[End of flashback mode]

Tokiwa explained to Kikuchi that their (the ‘Angel’ group members) new lease of life has been given to them by Daimon, and they vowed to ‘correct’ the world. Thus, by sticking to that principal, she went out and does the ‘Angel’ job. She continued, saying that from all the group members, Shibuya is the one who suffered the most. A rumor says that he killed his own mother and then tried to commit suicide after that. Kikuchi is stunned to hear her and asked whether that is really true, and Tokiwa acknowledged him, adding that that’s the reason why he treated Daimon very nicely, and speculates that Shibuya has made Daimon as the substitute of the mother he have killed. She concludes that Shibuya will sacrifice everything for Daimon, as Shibuya himself is shown taking (Noboru) Yoshikawa as hostage under knife-point.

Back to the fighting scene, Onizuka kicks another one of his attackers when suddenly he hears Shibuya screaming at him ordering him to stop. He then grazes the knife on Yoshikawa’s cheek, inflicting a small bleeding wound as he threatened Onizuka that he will slice Yoshikawa to pieces if Onizuka doesn’t follow his orders. Onizuka can only cursed at him, and Shibuya countered, saying that Onizuka deserved to die for ruining Daimon’s plans countless times. He then reiterated that he is right, and the puzzled Onizuka asked Shibuya on what he is talking about. Onizuka failed to realize that one of the gangsters has started to swing his baseball bat towards his head, and Yoshikawa’s warning comes a tad too late for him.

The gangster hits Onizuka’s head, and the stunned Onizuka started to cough blood from his mouth. The gangster then follows up with another savage swing that hits Onizuka right on his face, causing more damage onto him. Yoshikawa who are still under hostage is shocked, as Onizuka started to fall on the pavement. He finally falls as he fights to retain his consciousness while Yoshikawa screams calling his name. He managed to get away from Shibuya’s grasp and started to run towards Onizuka as he pleaded for Onizuka to hang on to his life while Shibuya himself is stunned after seeing the turns of events.

He started to laugh loudly saying that he has finally gets to finish Onizuka off as the remaining members of his troop looks at Yoshikawa tending on Onizuka. Suddenly, Daimon arrived via the taxi she has taken, and screamed Shibuya’s name. Seeing her, Shibuya become happy and tells her that the encore of the ‘performance’ is about to come. He then kicks Onizuka’s head repeatedly as he tells Daimon that he has managed to purge the person who has always ruined her plans. He continued kicking Onizuka to prove that he is right, and Daimon can only stand speechless as Shibuya ranted about Onizuka not responding to his abuse. Yoshikawa pleaded for him to stop kicking Onizuka, but Shibuya ignored him and instead tells Daimon that the world is her for the taking.

Suddenly, Daimon countered, asking him on what the hell he is talking about, and lashed at him for ruining everything. Shibuya is shocked to hear her, and Daimon angrily asked him about who tells him to beat Onizuka. She reminded him that his identity has already been revealed, and he also beats up the other ‘Angel’ group members. She accused him of trying to ruin her plans, and she adds that no one will be happy for him who has committed a crime.

Suddenly, a voice interjected, saying that he knows now that Daimon is the mastermind, and it turns out that Onizuka has awakened. He sneered, saying that Daimon will be the one who will be go from the school before he does himself. Shibuya is shocked to see him, and as Onizuka started to stand up, Shibuya asked him on why he is still alive even that the doctors has said that he will die if his head was hit. Blood is still dripping from Onizuka’s wounds as he countered, saying that he has never heard such things from his doctors.

Onizuka then proceeds to beat up the rest of Shibuya’s gangster members, and he faced both Daimon and Shibuya while commenting that Shibuya has helped him reducing the excess blood in his system. Shibuya started to become angry after hearing him, but Onizuka smiled as he declared that he is Onizuka Eikichi who will not die every easily. Yoshikawa started to become happy after seeing Onizuka’s resurgence, and Onizuka announced that the moment of truth when the evil ones will be destroyed. Meanwhile, blood continued to seep through his bandaged wounds…
