Lesson #187 – Her secret.
(this one is filled with flashbacks)

(Yoshito) Kikuchi is waiting at the airport as the e-mail he received earlier from his Internet friend in Lesson #185 is displayed on his PDA. The man then appeared wearing sunglasses, and Kikuchi asked if he really ‘Sunakujira’ (webmaster note: the nickname of his Internet friend that first appeared in volume 7 and in some scenes after that). He then introduced himself as the man started to remove his sunglasses. The man then greeted Kikuchi, asking whether that it is really their first time meeting face-to-face, and it turns out that ‘Sunakujira’ is actually Takumi, much to Kikuchi’s shock.

Kikuchi started to stammer, asking whether the person behind the nick’ Sunakujira’ is Takumi after all, and Takumi replied that he is right. He continued, saying that since that ‘event’ happened, he is always worried about them. Kikuchi started to speculate that because of that reason, he uses the nick ‘Sunakujira’ and befriends him on the Internet. Suddenly Takumi cuts him out, asking for Kikuchi to talk about it later, because now they have to find (Miyabi) Aizawa first. He continued, saying that Ogi-sensei had called him earlier and updates him on what have happened.

Kikuchi is shocked to hear him, but Takumi continued to say that he have to tell Aizawa something. An impatient Kikuchi lashed at him for ignoring him, and asked on why he still keeps on contacting Ogi even that Ogi have betrayed him and Aizawa. Takumi replied that Kikuchi is wrong to say that Ogi have done bad things. Kikuchi is stunned to hear him, as Takumi continued, saying that he will tell him the real story later because the most important thing they have to now is to go to the school because he have to tell Aizawa something so that she will realize that he have done what he can do to help her, who is now trapping herself beneath the darkness of her heart…

Meanwhile, back at the school, the students are still talking about the e-mail, and one of them asked a teacher whether what have happened in the e-mail is true. The angry teacher instead tells the students to return to their classes and upon hearing that, the students lashed at the teacher, threatening that they will make a report to the PTA. They then ignored the teacher as the students decided to go and find the principals, as (Shiro) Shibuya and another of the ‘Angel’ group members smile as they looks at the commotion.

Meanwhile, in another part of the school, a cautious (Hiroshi) Uchiyamada is looking around for something. He then vanished behind a building, and in an instant, he is shown slowly driving yet another new Cresta, now with an air bed transfixed on roof from behind the building. He started to laugh hysterically, saying that everything is alright. Then he exclaimed that even the gods of Hell will not realize that a Cresta is hidden in a secluded corner in the school, and he continued to laugh. He declared that he will not let his car being destroyed again, because his insurance coverage contract is nearly being terminated with so many claims, thus he knows that if his Cresta is damaged again, he have to shoulder all the expenses to repair it.

As he parked his car, he started to be puzzled on why the school is very noisy, and then remembered that he can’t park his car near the school building, or else his car will be destroyed again by students who committed suicide. He decided to move forward for at least 2km (no typo) but decided again against it because he fears that the nearby tree will fall down on his car in case an earthquake occurred. He then remembered that he have put an inflated air bed on the roof of his car, when he suddenly noticed a ribbon landing on the windscreen of his car.

The puzzled Uchiyamada comes out from the car and takes the ribbon as he commented that the ribbon is used by female students as part of their uniform. He smells the ribbon, finds out that the ribbon smells good and he started to wonder about the owner of the ribbon. He then looks upwards to see where the ribbon comes from, and instead he is greeted with a sight of an underwear wore by Aizawa who is standing on the ledge, much to Uchiyamada’s shock.

Back inside the school building, (Azusa) Fuyutsuki and (Saeko) Iijima can only watched the riot caused by the students who wants to know from the teachers whether the e-mail content is true or not. The teachers tried to explain that they themselves don’t know about it, but the student accused them of trying to sweep such a potentially embarrassing issue under the carpet. Fuyutsuki then asked Iijima whether the Ogi-sensei mentioned in the e-mail is truly an evil person, and Iijima replied that she is right. She continued, saying that he is the main reason why the 4th class started to bully their homeroom teachers. Fuyutsuki is silent as Iijima commented that their friend has been betrayed by him, thus their actions, and she asked Fuyutsuki whether the students will do such damaging things on their teachers without any valid reason.

Fuyutsuki then exclaimed that they have to find Aizawa first to prevent her from doing anything stupid, and asked Iijima to go with her to find Aizawa. Suddenly, from outside, they hear Uchiyamada screaming for Aizawa not to do stupid things, adding that he can see her underwear from below. He added, asking her whether she doesn’t really care having her underwear seen by the students of the school, and Fuyutsuki looks above from the window and sees Aizawa on the roof. Both Fuyutsuki and Iijima are shocked to see her, and their shock started to turn into panic.

Meanwhile, (Kunio) Murai and (Taadaki) Kusano who have only returned from helping (Eikichi) Onizuka cleaning the pond are shocked when a student tells them that Aizawa had jumped the safety fence at the roof and tried to jump to her death. The stunned Murai asked the student on which building Aizawa want to jump off from and the student replied that she is on the building for middle-school section. Shibuya and the ‘Angel’ group member chuckled when they hears them, and exclaimed that things can only get better from that point onwards. His accomplice added that everything is going according to plan, and that (Misuzu) Daimon will surely be happy with the result. As Murai scrambled to go to the roof, Shibuya commented that Aizawa will commit suicide because she was raped by a teacher, and then Onizuka will have to resign because of the incident. The teachers started to panic too as they learns about Aizawa on the roof, and they are undecided on which kind of authorities that they should call as Shibuya commented that the students then will start to hate the teachers. His accomplice is silent as Shibuya declared that he will finish all the students who believed on adults by dividing them. He started to laugh, as he asked Daimon whether he is right.

At the school’s roof, Fuyutsuki is asking Aizawa on hat she is trying to do, and that standing outside the safety fence is very dangerous. Fujiyoushi then screamed telling Aizawa not to do stupid things, but Aizawa interjected, asking Fujiyoushi not to try and stop her. She continued, that he knows himself that the whole school already knows about that ‘event’, thus she has to tell everyone about the truth. If she didn’t do that, the 4th class will surely become the talking point in the school forever. She added that after she tells everyone about the truth, she herself will be very ashamed to continue living.

Fujiyoushi countered, saying that the ‘event’ had happened a year ago and thus she need not thinking about it too much. Aizawa replied that he is wrong, because the ‘event’ is not merely and ‘event’ that happened a year ago. She explained that everyday in the year that ensues after that ‘event’, she always feel very bitter in her heart, because she knows that the one should be in fault in that ‘event’ is her…

[Flashback mode – one year ago]

The students of the Year 2 4th class are glum after learning that Takumi will be expelled from the school and sent of delinquency school in Okinawa. The news then leaked in about Ogi having 5 stitches on his head, and what Takumi has done for Aizawa. Suddenly Ogi entered the class, and then asked on why Takumi has done such things. Suddenly a voice asked him to just tell them what he wants, and a paper knife flies and land on the blackboard right behind his head. The students look angrily at him, and then they started to exit the class, as the bewildered Ogi asked them on where they are going in the middle of the homeroom session.

[End of flashback mode]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aizawa then commented that everyone becomes like that (bullies) because of her. She feels that after the incident, her classmates have gradually started to distance themselves from her, and the situation deteriorated beyond the point of no return. There are times where she herself think of spilling the beans about the truth, and then committed suicide, but in the end her cowardice prevents her from doing just that. Because of this, she doesn’t have any avenue to rationalize her actions thus she becomes someone who hates teacher very much, or else she will become insane because she is unable to justify her actions. Still, she failed (or too scared) to explain the truth, thus she led the students on their efforts to bully the teachers…

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Flashback mode…again]

Another of the 4th class female homeroom teacher is shown in a nude poster (like Onizuka in vol.3), as the real teacher herself is stunned to see it along with a lot of students. Aizawa herself is smiling devilishly as she thinks that all adults are evil, particularly teachers. She then declared that she is innocent, and that teachers are the ones who make her to act the way she is today.

[Flashback mode end]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She then asked the students whether she is really innocent, when she is actually the guilty party. She then continued, saying that if she bullied the teachers, the rest of the class doesn’t have to follow suit, thus if anything happened; only she will have to take the responsibility. Murai and Fujiyoushi are silent when they hear her, and she exclaimed that when she learned that someone in the class wants to do something, she will usually pre-empt their actions. Thus, now they have to leave her alone because she doesn’t want to drag them down anymore, thus she has to die now.

Suddenly, Murai stands forward and asked Aizawa on what she is talking about. He reiterated the fact that she is the innocent one (or victim), thus she should return to the safe side of the safety fence. Suddenly a voice interjected, saying that the effort to drive out the teachers is still not finished, thus she can’t return to safety yet. The students are shocked to hear the voice, and then they sees Shibuya stepping forward as he asked Aizawa whether she agreed with him if he says that teachers are the scum of the earth. He himself started to have a flashback of his own…

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Flashback mode start]

A glum-looking Shibuya is sitting on a classroom table without his uniform on and a few hands are drawing graffiti on his body. Suddenly, his teacher announced to the rest of his class that the class will play the ‘drawing on body’ game. The teacher continued, saying that the class will draw some anti-ghost holy mantras on his body to chase out the ghost plaguing his soul. A student asked the teacher to also think up sentences to be written on Shibuya’ body, and after some consideration, the teacher decided on the phrase “Good Luck” and everyone in the class started to laugh…

[Flashback mode end]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shibuya exclaimed that he is still disgusted every time he remembers that scene, as (Noboru) Yoshikawa is speechless after he hears him. Shibuya then continued, asking the students whether they have realized the fact that if they believed on teachers, they are the ones who will suffer in the future. He then asked Aizawa whether he is right, and then tells the stunned Aizawa to just jump off the building, and die in front of everyone. He then will tell the media about her death, saying that she commits suicide because she has a vengeful feeling towards her teachers. Fujiyoushi is puzzled about what Shibuya is trying to do, as Shibuya started to grasp the safety fence and asked Aizawa whether she wants to follow her advice, because if she does just what he says, Onizuka will surely be fired by the school authorities. Not only that, Onizuka will also be hounded by the mass media, causing him of not being able to find another teaching job for the rest of life. He tells her that he knows that she really wants such an ending to Onizuka.

A teacher asked Shibuya whether he is trying to incite her to commit suicide, as Aizawa is muttering the word ‘no’ under her breath. Shibuya exclaimed that she should be brave and jumped, when suddenly; Aizawa snapped and screamed that the ending Shibuya has visualized is not the one she wants.

Suddenly a voice exclaimed that she is so stubborn, he can’t stand her attitude anymore and that she should tell everyone about that ‘event’, the real story. She turned around to see Onizuka sitting on the safety fence, smoking while digging his nose, and he asked Aizawa whether she really wants to listen to what teacher-hater Shibuya have said before; jumping to the ground causing her body to be smashed to bits. Shibuya is stunned to see Onizuka appearing from nowhere, sitting right on top of the fence where he is.

A panicking Murai asked Onizuka on why he must provoke Aizawa to jump to her death, adding that she doesn’t deserve to die. A few students seconded him, but Onizuka ignored them as he scratches his cheek with his feet. He then asked Murai and the rest of the students, whether they still want to say such things now, and he turned to Aizawa, saying that she is an evil kid, who only knows scaring her friends and classmates. He then smiled and exclaimed to her that the time to end what have happened has arrived, and reminded her about the ‘event’. He continued, saying that Ogi has already told him everything, about what has really happened one year ago.

Aizawa is shocked to hear him, as Onizuka jumped down to the dangerous side of the safety fence right with Aizawa. He commented that Ogi has never really betrayed Aizawa, and he asked her whether he is right. He asked the stunned Aizawa again whether he is right to say that everything she has done was a big lie, and that she have faked everything that have happened, much to the shock of everyone on the roof.

Fujiyoushi, Yoshikawa, (Anko) Uehara, a few teachers and Murai are shown being speechless after hearing what Onizuka have said, as Onizuka continued, saying that her claims of being betrayed by her teacher one year ago, and also the naked pictures ‘evidence’ and the blackboard writings are all fake. Aizawa is silent as Shibuya and the students are puzzled to hear him. Tears started to roll on Aizawa’s face after hearing what Onizuka has said, while the students started to wonder whether what Onizuka has said is true…

FINISHED.
