Lesson 148 - Makoto's investigation.

(Makoto) Fuyutsuki shifted through her sister's belonging as she commented that the possible criminal must be someone who are very picky when it comes about cleanliness, may have good IQ levels and also someone who (Azusa) Fuyutsuki knows very well. Makoto then speculated that her sister might have been locked somewhere, and by looking at how clean her sister's apartment is, the criminal may have visited the apartment a few times. She then added, that the criminal may actually listening to their conversation right now and asked (Eikichi) Onizuka to help her in her investigations, as the hiding (Suguru) Teshigawara is biting a bra under the bed.

She tells Onizuka that they have to start searching for some foreign thumbprints, and vowed that she will pull the criminal out from hiding. A sheepish Onizuka asked her whether she thinks that saving Fuyutsuki herself should be given higher priority, but Makoto rejected his suggestion, saying that getting the identity of the criminal is more important. She then asked Onizuka, calling him an "officer", to help her searching for suspicious evidences, likes tissues, papers and hair strands. Hearing her, Onizuka asked her, addressing her as a leader, whether pubic hair can be used as evidence too, and she replied that he is right.

She then asked him to find anything that are not supposed to be in a woman's room, when suddenly Onizuka called her, showing Fuyutsuki's bra with a perverted face, and asked Makoto whether such "suspicious" evidence can also be collected. Makoto is shocked and she started to become angry, telling Onizuka to get more serious or else she will throw him across the room. Onizuka started to put the bra back at the rightful place and tried to calm the angry Makoto, saying that he will look for evidence carefully, and she reminded him that he should only looks for evidence and not something else.

Meanwhile, the sweating Teshigawara realized that if they continued their search, sooner or later Makoto or Onizuka would check beneath the bed, and he is surely finished at that time. Suddenly, he sees his wallet is on the floor, just outside where he is hiding now, and he is shocked to see it. He realized that he must the dropped the wallet when he is scrambling looking for a hiding place, and he knows that he must take the wallet back or else his identity will be revealed when Makoto finds it. He started to use his leg to pull the wallet inside his hiding place, but Makoto had already seen the wallet on the floor (but not his legs).

She started to approach the wallet, as she is puzzled to see a man's purse inside the apartment. As she tried to take it up, she is shocked to see the wallet being pulled underside the bed, and she begins to take a look under the bed. She is stunned when she sees Teshigawara wearing only Fuyutsuki's underwear showing his back towards her, and she started to call Onizuka to take a look at something "suspicious" beneath the bed.

Onizuka asked her whether she had found any evidence, and she replied that she might have found the criminal. He is shocked to hear that the criminal is wearing her sister's underwear. Both of them started to have a look again, but they sees nothing, and Onizuka started to ask her where is the criminal she had said. Makoto started to become puzzled herself, saying that she had really sees the criminal earlier. Hearing her, Onizuka started to have a puff, while commenting that Makoto must have become very tired after a train's journey from Niigata prefecture, and he attributed her fatigue to the "multiple time zones jetlag" theory. Makoto reminded him that Tokyo and Niigata are located in the same time zone, but Onizuka reminded her that there's nothing beneath the bed, unlike what she had claimed.

As they started to get up from the floor, only then they realized that Teshigawara had covered himself with a blanket on the bed. Onizuka asked Makoto whether she had seen something "suspicious" that looks like a human on the bed, and she replied that she does. Onizuka asked her again whether the "suspicious" thing can also be considered as evidence, and she replied that he is right, as Teshigawara started to become nervous under the blanket. Onizuka started to get ready for a fight, and asked Makoto on what they should do with the "suspicious" evidence, as he started to suggest that he will beat the "suspicious" evidence into pulp or putting the evidence inside a sack as punching bags before asking "it" about Fuyutsuki's whereabouts. He started to lunge at the covered Teshigawara, as Makoto reminded him that they should interrogate the suspect first.

Onizuka tried to uncover Teshigawara (webmaster note: Just a reminder. they still didn't know that Teshigawara is the criminal) but Teshigawara screams, and jumped out quickly from underneath the blanket while covering both Onizuka and Makoto in the process. Teshigawara speeds away, as Onizuka and Makoto struggled to get out from the blanket. Onizuka cursed, wondering on where the criminal could have gone to, and started to pull the blanket off but Makoto lashed at him saying that he is pulling her skirts.

Teshigawara is at the doorway, as Onizuka managed to get out from beneath the blanket and he screams for the criminal not to get away. He started to give chase, but upon arriving at the hallway outside Fuyutsuki apartment, he is shocked to see that there is no one else outside the hallway. Then he looks below at the car park and also the bicycle garage while screaming on where the criminal can possibly have gone to, but also finds no one at both places. Makoto stares at him silently, when she finds a man's underwear at the toilet doorway. She picks it up and smells it, and her face started to change…

Meanwhile, Teshigawara had managed to get inside his apartment (which is just next door) as he begins to disbelieve that Fuyutsuki could possibly have such a genius sister. He is panting heavily as he started to plan that he have to go back inside Fuyutsuki's apartment again to destroy all evidence, or else he is screwed when all his fingerprints are collected by Makoto.

In the next scene, Makoto and Onizuka are watching the mud wrestling match (webmaster note: The match is done on a muddy arena, and winners (participants are scantily-clad women) is the one who managed to rip the clothes off her opponent) and Onizuka can only look sheepishly at Makoto who are urging one of the wrestlers to get the upper hand over her opponent. Onizuka commented that she is surely very gutsy even that she knows that her sister's life hangs in the balance. Makoto countered, saying that Onizuka had already bought the ticket, and he should not let it go to waste, plus she is also a wrestling fan. Onizuka started to protest at her attitude, but she interjected, saying that they wasting their time watching the match are also included in her game plan. Onizuka is puzzled and she explained that she wants to entice the criminal to show its face.

Suddenly, one of the wrestler managed to defeat her opponent by ripping out her opponent's bra as the audiences started to stand up to have a closer look, including Onizuka. He exclaimed that the moment he had been waiting for had arrived, and Makoto also started to cheer for the winner too, while explaining to the oblivious Onizuka (whose mind are already transfixed on the bare-chested defeated opponent) that the criminal is also there when they converse about collecting evidence earlier. Seeing that Onizuka is not paying attention, she started to ask him whether he is listening, and Onizuka turned his head at her, and replied sheepishly that he does. Suddenly the commentator exclaimed that the loser's underwear had also been removed and Onizuka begin to completely ignore Makoto to see the match as she is talking to herself that she had put a "trap" at the door.

Back to Fuyutsuki's apartment, Teshigawara tried vainly to open Fuyutsuki's apartment door, as he is puzzled on why his key for the apartment won't even fit inside the doorknob. He started to wonder whether Makoto had changed the key, and that he have to work fast or else Makoto will surely collect all his fingerprints. As he tries hard to open the door, Onizuka and Makoto appeared from nowhere, and Onizuka is shocked to see Teshigawara at the door. Teshigawara started to sweat as he greeted Onizuka, who started to inquire him on why he must wear gloves in the middle of the summer season. Hearing him, Teshigawara started to remove the gloves as he commented that he have dry skin problems, and started to laugh.

Onizuka started to wonder whether Teshigawara is also worried about the missing Fuyutsuki, and Teshigawara sheepishly replied that he does, as Makoto looks at them silently. Onizuka then introduced Makoto to Teshigawara, saying that she is Fuyutsuki's younger sister. Teshigawara started to fake that he is shocked, and he greeted the smiling Makoto while commenting that she is very beautiful just like Fuyutsuki. They started to shake hands, and Makoto started to hold his hand tightly. Then, she released his hand, and only by then Teshigawara realized that a selofan tape is being fixed on her palm. He asked her about the selofan tape, and she replied that she usually uses such tapes to collect fingerprints.

Hearing her, Teshigawara started to sweat, as he sheepishly asked on why Makoto must collect the fingerprints of someone she had only met once, adding whether she doesn't believe him who are a Tokyo University graduate. Makoto replied that she would collect the fingerprints of all her sister's colleagues, because her disappearance must have something to do with someone close to her and the qualifications of her colleagues have nothing to do with the case. She started to inspect the doorknob, and exclaimed that the criminal had attempted a comeback just like she had predicted. Teshigawara is puzzled as Makoto asked Onizuka for his lighter.

Onizuka wondered whether Makoto want to smoke, and give his lighter to her. Then she holds her key with a cloth, and she used the lighter to hot up the key. After the key become hot enough, she started to insert the key inside the doorknob, and the signs of candles being melted can be clearly shown as the key goes further into the doorknob. Makoto then exclaimed that she had put candle waxes inside the doorknob keyhole, so the criminal will not be able to use its key when the criminal returns back. Onizuka is stumped when he hears her, as Teshigawara is shocked to hear her explanations.

He silently cursed at Makoto, saying the she is very cunning and there's no way that Fuyutsuki can possibly have such a genius in her family. He started to panic, thinking that if they entered the apartment and started to take fingerprints, his cover will surely be blown away. Suddenly Onizuka asked him on why he is so sweaty, and Teshigawara replied that he feels hot. Meanwhile, Makoto exclaimed that she would enter the apartment to take fingerprints, as the shocked Teshigawara exclaimed that he had seen someone inside the apartment. He barged into the room, and started to touch everything here and there as he screams for the imaginary intruder to come out.

Suddenly, Onizuka asked if his dry skin problem will worsen if he is touching everything inside the apartment, and Teshigawara sheepishly lied that he had forgot, and Onizuka commented that he must had gone overboard because he had seen someone in the apartment, as Makoto is looking silently at him. Teshigawara started to smile as Onizuka and Makoto looks at him suspiciously, saying that he must have looking at things, and asked Makoto to start collecting fingerprints now, but he reminds her that he had touched a lot of things inside the apartment. Makoto replied that he is right, and she will start collecting fingerprints inside the bathroom.

Teshigawara is shocked, but she reminded that his fingerprints are everywhere in the living room, so the bathroom is the only place left where his fingerprints doesn't exist. She then added that she had found a man's underwear at the bathroom earlier, so the criminal may have used the bathroom for taking baths, and the possibility of finding fingerprints there is high. Teshigawara stared to make excuses that he have a stomach ache, and wanted to use the toilet, but Makoto who are already inside doesn't let him, because his fingerprints will be everywhere by then. She then inspected the bathtub, and concluded that the criminal may have used the bathtub. Then she opened her bag containing her sleuthing devices, as Teshigawara barged into the toilet saying that he will help her collecting the fingerprints. Suddenly he tripped at the doorway, and he falls face-first into the toilet bowl resulting in a huge splash.

Makoto managed to protect herself from the splash, as she asked Teshigawara whether he is all right. He started to stand up as he replied that he is OK. He then remembers about the fingerprints, and started to frown that his fall had caused the bathroom floor to be wet, foiling Makoto attempts to collect fingerprints as she looks silently at him. Suddenly she see a trash bin inside at the corner of the bathroom as Teshigawara started to clean the "mess" with a cleaner, saying that Makoto should abort her initiative to collect the fingerprints, and he smiled.

Makoto started to get out from the bathtub, while exclaiming that she surely will not be able to collect fingerprints, and the sheepish Teshigawara started to apologize for his clumsiness earlier. Hearing that, she replied that he doesn't have to feel guilty, because she had already found new evidence that will be able to substitute the fingerprints, and the new "evidence" is more effective at determining the identity of the criminal. Teshigawara started to become pale when he hears her…

Meanwhile, at an undisclosed location, Fuyutsuki who are wearing a wedding gown, started to awaken inside a all-white room, and she looks around as she is puzzled about her own whereabouts now….
